Pi Zetes Lend a Helping Hand

A group of eight Pi Zete actives headed up to The Great Escape in the Lake George region to participate in the 2014 "Zombie Run" 5K race. This event benefits the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter. Funds are raised through team registrations and fund raising by team members. Runners are provided with a flag belt that must be worn during the race while the "zombies" attempt to strip your flags during the race. From the photo below, it appears they pulled through with all limbs intact!

In addition, the Elder Board of Directors was pleased to receive the following note from a neighbor on Belle Ave a few weeks ago that was forwarded by Dean Hunt, head of Greek Life Commons at the time. Well done active brothers!

Dean Hunt,

I just wanted to follow up with my praises of the guys from Zeta Psi. Josh, the president, showed up promptly at 10 AM as we had arranged. He brought two other brothers, Brendon and my apologies I forgot the other young man's name. They were polite and eager to help despite the early hour on a Saturday. The job was complete in less than a half hour.

Josh even offered to stop by on Saturday to see if I needed anymore help, which he in fact did and then offered to come later in the evening to help put any leftover trash by the curb for trash pickup. My husband and I were very impressed with these young men and very grateful for their help. Josh promised to send me the name of their charity of choice and I will be more than happy to donate in the fraternity's name.
